CFC gas emissions deplete the atmosphere's ozone layer which leads to increasing levels of ultra-violet radiation reaching the earth.
This can cause increased instances of skin cancer. FOE-Ghana promotes the use of hydrocarbon technology as an environmentally friendly alternative to CFCs in refrigerators (one of their main uses), especially repair practices. |
